Angela is a Melbourne based artist who specialises in drawing and painting, and is currently studying Cert IV in Visual arts. Angela draws inspiration from artists such as Tracey Verdugo, Suzanne Allard, Margaret Preston, Del Kathryn Barton, the Heide artists and many other artists both traditional and on Instagram. She is in her element while working with other artists in a studio. Angela loves working with artists with disabilities like herself and often does artwork relating to disability advocacy as it is empowering. She works with portraits and aims to represent something that that is unique about the person she is painting. Angela also loves getting inspiration from all kinds of sources, such as books, online platforms, nature, urban settings and everywhere! Angela also loves that “treasure finding” aspect of doing art. Angela also practices sculptural basketry and weaving baskets.
As Angela said, “I like to have fun with art and see where it leads me…art is freedom. Many things in life can lead to art and opportunities are always there, you just have to find them.”. Follow her on Instagram:@ flowerycreativenature.artist. Portrait commissions available, see contact us page. |
